27496630_sLiving authentically is a way of life.  It takes commitment.  It takes courage.  It takes time to master.

It requires you to face yourself fully and learn to love and respect every part of you.

But let me tell you, it is SO worth the time and effort.  As you step into your authentic, powerful self, you unleash your full potential and you become a magnet for infinite amazing possibilities.  The universe responds to your great big authentic “YES” to you.

So, by now hopefully you have had some practice in developing and listening to your internal awareness.  This practice is the foundational skill for connecting to your authentic self, so keep practicing.  Make it part of everything that you do.

The next piece that I invite you to start focusing on involves getting clear on your values.  Taking time to get really clear on what values are most important to you will give you quite a bit of clarity about who you are and what is most important in your life.  If you are not already clear on your life purpose, it will likely give you greater insight into that, too.

Here are some examples of values:

Wealth Family Loyalty Selflessness
Clarity Trust Philanthropy Leadership
Power Integrity Duty Faith
Inspiring others Betterment Helping others Self-expression
Success Health Connection Tradition

There are many more to consider.  Just looking at this list alone, you may see a few values that are clearly very important to you and others that are not.  That’s great information to help you get clear on what matters most to you.

Start getting clear on your own values.  What are the things in your life that are most important to you?  What are the non-negotiables? What is less important? Make a list of your top 10 values and get clear about each of them.  Why are they important to you?  Are they in alignment with your purpose? As you go through this, you may come across a few that you find were not actually your primary values but rather ones that you have been conditioned to have. If this happens, cross them off the list and explore further. Likewise, you may find others that are very important to you that you had not fully realized.

Take your time and enjoy the exploration.  You will learn a lot about yourself.  I’d love to hear about your discoveries!
