PFT – Previous Failure Thinking

Oftentimes when we’re feeling stuck, we dwell on previous failures. We play them over in our minds, over and over again – it’s almost like a form of torture!

If you’ve ever found yourself in that particular form of stuckness – and most of us have – then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

What you may not realize is that those previous failures – however horrible they might have been – were due largely to previous failure thinking.

I’ll say that again, because it’s so important. Previous Failure Thinking.

By now you’ve learned that what you put out into the universe is what you get back. The more positive energy you put out there, the more positive stuff comes back to you. One reason poverty still exists in this universe is that many people still do not understand this basic law of life. They do not yet realize they must radiate in order to attract, and that what they doradiate they will attract – consistently. If you’re experiencing lack in your life right now, it’s only because of one reason: You’re radiating thoughts of lack!

People who dare to think and radiate great thoughts and expectations of success and prosperity (instead of failure) experience success and prosperity. It’s predictable!

Look, failure is easy. Anyone can experience failure by following the line of least resistance and entertaining the usual failure thoughts. If you think, “I’ve tried everything and I’m still stuck,” then guess what? You get to stay stuck! It’s a self-fulfilling prophecy!

So how can you get rid of Previous Failure Thinking once and for all?

Grab that pen again. Now write down the 5 to 10 thoughts that have dominated your mind lately. We’re looking for those little lies you tell yourself that always have a “but”, such as:

“I know I should be making more money, but …”

“I’d start a new business, but …”

“I should pay more attention to my marriage, but …”

You might be surprised how many lies you tell yourself! Each one of these “buts” reflects a past failure. Once you see them on paper, you’ll be able to see that they keep you playing small and, as they say, “God don’t want you playin’ small”! Instead of settling for less, you can easily open the door to creating new thoughts of amazement and abundance.

If your thoughts have been full of can’t, won’t, don’t (and but!), and your life shows it, NOW is the time to graduate from Previous Failure Thinking.

Change your thinking, and you’ll change your life … and you just might get UNstuck.

Your Turn

Write down the most predominate doubtful thoughts you’ve had lately (there’s usually a “but” in the thought):
